Klagenfurt INTAMAP Y1 meeting agenda 27-28 Sep 2007.
Note this is still a first draft: don't worry if you don't like it; it will probably change!
The rationale for the agenda is that by the end of the meeting I want us all to have signed up to a shared set of requirements. There are too many things we are either still not clear on, or do not agree on, and these must be resolved if we are to progress forward in a meaningful manner. In order to make this really useful we need to define what should be discussed before the meeting, hence the location to suggest topics for discussion. All results will be put on the wiki, by a wiki reporter, and these will then define the aims and requirements for the INTAMAP project.
[edit]
Wednesday 26/9
- Young INTAMAP
[edit]
Thursday 27/9
- 9:00 Welcome, status of project, summary of progress (EP)
- 9:10 Project finances and plans (EP)
- Deliverables: status of delivery, status of internal review, actions before review by EC
- Financial status: which partners spent different from budget, how to cope with this
- Proposal to extend the consortium; Revision of Annex I (Description of Work)
- 10:10 Agenda (DC)
- 10:15 Interpolation (service) requirements (EP) By this I mean a discussion of what the interpolation method (and service) can do, what inputs it might expect and what outputs it might produce
- Items for discussion: speed requirements (are they a serious issue?), are partial answers fast, then improved answers later a possibility?, ability to define important external factors (and how?), multivariate?, ability to supply initial conditions (or priors) to the interpolation algorithm?, description of the sensor model - at what level?, description of the noise process - do people really need this?, description of the observation space(-time) support - how much can we really expect?, what are minimal requirements for the inputs - (x,y,z)?, what formats should the inputs be in (XML, ascii, other?), what outputs should we provide (how much control?),
- 10:20 Breakout into two groups (leaders in bold - names not complete):
- LB, BI, EP, JP, EC, JJ, PQ, SB
- GH, DC, GD, PH, DH, OB, JS
- 10:50 Groups report (leaders, 2*5 mins)
- 11:00 Coffee, continued informal discussion
- 11:30 Summary discussion, finalise requirements (DC chair, BI wiki reporter)
- 12:30 Interpolation validation plan (GD) By this I mean how should we assess the accuracy of our interpolation results - what are the critical measures?
- Items for discussion: How will we assess the probabilistic aspects,
- 12:40 Whole group discussion (JP to chair)
- 13:00 Lunch and further discussion (in meeting room or very near)
- 14:00 Summary (GH chair, OB wiki reporter)
- 14:30 Client requirements (GD)
- Items for discussion: Should the generic client have state (i.e. what should the generic client store?),
- 14:40 Breakout into two groups (leaders in bold - names not complete):
- Generic PQ, BI, EP, JP, GH, EC, LB, OB
- EURDEP JJ, DC, GD, PH, DH, SB, JS
- 15:10 Summary discussions and finalise (GD chair, JJ wiki reporter)
- 14:30 - 16:00 might also be a good time for a parallel discussion of more technical aspects of the interpolation process (WP2, WP3, WP4)? Is there also interest for this?
- 16:00 Scenarios (SB)
- Items for discussion: How much do we know about the sensors, in particular their sensor model and error characteristics,
- 16:20 Group discussion and finalise (DH chair, EC wiki reporter)
- 17:00 Finish (football?)
[edit]
Friday 27/9
- 9:00 Reflection of yesterday and discussion (EP)
- 9:30 Putting it all together - the processing chain (JS)
- Items for discussion: What should the interfaces between methods be?, what data format should these use?, where does monitoring network optimisation fit in the processing chain?
- 9:45 Breakout into two groups (leaders in bold - names not complete):
- EC, BI, EP, JP, JJ, PQ, DC
- PH, LB, GD, DH, OB, JS, SB
- 10:30 Summary and finalise (JP chair, ?? wiki reporter)
- 11:00 Coffee break
- 11:30 Spotlight presentations (GD to chair, volunteers please, one from each site (ish) - the idea is these should be short, summary talks of work relevant to the project, that people have been doing):
- 11:30-11:45 WP1: DC (for MW): UnCertML: Uncertainty in schema.
- 11:45-12:00 WP2?:
- 12:00-12:15 WP3?:
- 12:15-12:30 WP4?:
- 12:30-12:45 WP5?:
- 12:45-13:00 WP6?:
- 13:00 Lunch (in meeting room, or very near)
- 14:00 Project progress and plans at each site (again here I intend each site to present a very short summary of progress thus far, broken down by WP, and with all relevant deliverables for the time periods, and their plans for the next six months, around 10 minutes each).
- UU
- JRC
- UNIKLU
- TUC
- WU
- KYX
- AST
- 15:30 Project deliverables, reviewing and impact / outputs.
- Items for discussion: Forthcoming conferences, forthcoming papers,
- 16:30 End of formal meeting.
