We would like to transform into a coordinate system in which the field is isotropic (isotropic transformations), so that we can calculate the model parameters in the isotropic system. The determination of the true anisotropic model will therefore be performed from
- (i) the determination of the isotropic coefficients
- (ii) the identification of the anisotropy parameters
The estimation of the anisotropic parameters is based on the Covariance Tensor Identity.
